The National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) approved the “Research and Analysis Report on Safeguarding the Transfer Rights of Inmates in Correctional Facilities” during the 62nd commission meeting of the 1st term on February 25th, 2025. The report aims to identify shortcomings in Taiwan’s current transfer system and its practices, and to offer specific recommendations for improvement, focusing on protecting inmates' rights and facilitating their reintegration into society.
