【Human Rights in Asia: A Multigenerational Dialogue – Registration Now Open!】

Following the success of the 2024 SEASAT Youth Camp, the National Human Rights Commission of Taiwan (NHRC) is proud to continue its vital partnership with the Taiwan-Asia Exchange Foundation (TAEF).

Together, we are committed to nurturing the next generation of human rights leaders across the Asia-Pacific and expanding Taiwan’s role in global human rights diplomacy.

This year, we are thrilled to open our core session to the public: the “Human Rights in Asia: A Multigenerational Dialogue” forum. This is more than a talk; it’s a unique opportunity for direct engagement between Taiwan’s civil society and 50 outstanding young leaders and advocates from over 15 Asian-Pacific countries.

In a rapidly changing world, we will explore critical questions:

How is geopolitics reshaping the landscape of human rights?

How can youth-led movements respond to democratic backsliding?

What is Taiwan’s role and what are its challenges regarding civic space and freedom of expression?

Hosted by NHRC Vice Chairperson Wang Yu-Ling, the forum will feature distinguished speakers from the European Values Center for Security Policy, the Taiwan Foundation for Democracy, the Research Institute for Democracy, Society and Emerging Technology, the Amnesty International Taiwan, alongside inspiring youth representatives from Malaysia and Vietnam.

This is your chance to witness Taiwan’s role in Asia, connect with a global network, and be part of the conversation shaping our future. We cordially invite students, NGO partners, and all citizens passionate about human rights to join this significant event.
