The National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) deeply regrets the Ministry of Justice’s execution of the death penalty today. The NHRC upholds that the issues highlighted in TCC Judgment 113-Hsien-Pan-8 (2024) require further clarification. The execution of the death penalty is not appropriate until it is definitively established that these matters align with the standards set by the Taiwan Constitutional Court (TCC).
