From October 14 to 23, 2023, Chairperson Chen Chu of the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) led a delegation to the Canadian cities of Ottawa, Winnipeg, and Vancouver to visit the Canadian Human Rights Commission, Canadian Human Rights Tribunal, and Canadian Museum for Human Rights. The visiting delegation also met with the members of Parliament to discuss and share practical experience on issues such as promoting the development of indigenous peoples' rights in Canada and the implementation of relevant policies and mechanisms, and the process of restoring the historical truth relating to serious infringements upon the human rights of the indigenous peoples.
