With respect to Sexual Harassment in the Workplace, Long-term Care and Childcare, Gender Equality, and Emerging Digital Privacy Rights
Taiwan took it upon itself to sign the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women (CEDAW) in 2007. The legalization of the CEDAW act in 2011 showed that domestic women’s human rights movements were in line with international standards, a significant milestone for domestic women’s human rights. The incorporation of international human rights conventions into domestic legalization has seen the universal human rights values outlined in the articles of such conventions, which become a key indicator for non-government organizations to review government policies.
